These free community outreach courses provide best practices surrounding the first 24 hours of emergency burn care (from pre-hospital to hospitalization). Continuing education credits for fire/EMS personnel are provided for these courses. 

    This three-hour course focuses on the first 24 hours of treatment after a burn or wound injury for adult and pediatric patients and is taught by BRCA fire/EMS educator, Lisa Smith. It is a closed lecture for fire and EMS staff at the North Charleston Fire Department. 

    At the conclusion of this virtual course, attendees will be able to:
