In this burn care education, Dr. Bounthavy Homsombath discusses the following:

    • Assessment of the pediatric burn wound
    • Etiology of burn injuries 
    • Pediatric physiological considerations for the operating room
    • Autografts (full thickness and split thickness)
    • Skin substitutes and dermal regeneration

    Dr. Homsombath is the burn medical director at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital of Augusta - the largest burn facility in the United States - and has more than 15 years experience as a burn and wound surgeon. 

    The course takes 30-45 minutes to complete.
