This pediatric burn lecture teaches participants the difference between pediatric vent concepts versus burn-specific vent considerations and includes the following topics: 

    • Ventilator management (escalation and weaning) 
    • Endotracheal tube care (routine and emergent)
    • Pulmonary toilet 
    • Bronchoscopy 

    The course was originally presented by Dr. Richard Cartie, director of pediatric critical care for the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, at the Joseph M. Still Burn Symposium. It takes approximately 75 minutes to complete.
