BRCA Fire/EMS educator Lisa Smith will teach the lecture with a focus on the first 24 hours of treatment after a burn or wound work-related injury. This is a closed Emergency Burn Care lecture for members of the Low Country Workers Compensation chapter. 

    At the conclusion of this virtual course, attendees will be able to: 

    • Identify demographics of flame, chemical and electrical burn injuries
    • Present an initial evaluation and management of burns and other dermatologic pathologies
    • Present emergency protocols for replants of hand and finger work-related injuries
    • Determine when patients should be transferred to a verified burn center

     

    Since this is a closed course, participants must receive an enrollment key from their facility coordinator to self-enroll in this course.
