Fire and EMS educator Amanda Cooksy will teach the lecture with a focus on the first 24 hours of treatment after a burn or wound injury. This is a closed Emergency Burn Care lecture for staff at the Durant and Colbert Fire Departments, Bryan County EMS and AirEvac Durant. 

At the conclusion of this virtual course, attendees will be able to: 

• Identify demographics of flame, chemical and electrical burn injuries
• Determine when patients should be transferred to a verified burn center
• Present an initial evaluation and management of burns and other dermatologic pathologies

Since this is a closed course, participants must receive an enrollment key from their facility coordinator to self-enroll in this course.
